Adventurous Snoqualmie Pass Engagement || Snoqualmie Pass, WA || Kristin + Damien

I’ll save my sappy words for their wedding day, but running around Snoqualmie Pass with these two was so much fun. We started with a view of Mt. Si in North Bend, and then worked our way through Snoqualmie Pass. We hit Keechelus Lake first to wander among the stumps that spend most of the year underwater, while we sipped cider and whiskey.

One of my favorite parts of this day was probably Kristin’s least favorite; Damien got a little too rambunctious during a piggy back ride and they both went down, giving Kristin a bloody lip in the process. I totally feel bad that Kristin took a shoulder to the face, but in the aftermath I got to see just how they work together as Damien comforted, held, and cared for her. It was a really sweet moment, and ultimately, a funny story.

After we re-calibrated with some whiskey, we moved on to Gold Creek Pond, stopping on the side of the road when we spotted wildflowers. Side note: I love that Kristin went with comfy casual tee shirt and jeans at Keechelus, and then changed into a gorgeous flowy sundress at Gold Creek. Each outfit complemented the locations differently and added variety to the session. Plus that dress was fun to twirl.

Gold Creek Pond was absolutely gorgeous bathed in the golden light of dusk, and these two danced the last of the sun away as it dropped behind the mountains. I can’t think of a better way to end a day like this than dinner and beers at Dru Bru, and that’s exactly what we did.
