When will we get our images, and how many will we get?

While I do my best to deliver your gallery as quickly as possible, you can expect to receive an engagement gallery within 4-6 weeks, and an elopement gallery within 6-8 weeks. Engagement galleries typically contain at least 75 photos, while elopements are usually at least 400 photos.

Can we have the RAW files?

Short answer: no. You most likely hired me because you connected with my style, and let me tell you, that does not happen straight out of the camera. It takes a lot of work. You wouldn’t serve your family a raw turkey at Thanksgiving just because you brined it, and I won’t give you unfinished photos.

How does the payment schedule work?

When you sign your contract, a 50% retainer is due to hold your date. The remaining 50% is due at least 30 days before your session or wedding. You’ll receive an invoice after you sign the contract, where you can pay using a credit card. You’ll receive reminders leading up to your due date because, hey, life gets busy.

What if we need to reschedule our session or wedding?

If you have to reschedule your session or wedding, I will do my best to accommodate a change of venue or new date. If the location changes, travel fees may apply. In the event of a cancellation, the retainer is non-refundable. I promise I’m not trying to steal your money, but I am a human being with financial needs, and I count on you and your business to pay my bills. You can cancel your session, but unfortunately I can’t cancel my bills. Believe me, I‘ve tried.

What if you can’t make it to our wedding?

This is literally my nightmare. Please know that I will show up and give 110% even if I’m on Death’s door. But, if unforeseen circumstances prevent me from making it to your wedding, I will do my best to find a trusted photographer to step in and save the day. If I or anyone else are not able to photograph your day, you will be refunded.

What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule due to weather?

Working primarily in the PNW, this is obviously a concern. That being said, I strongly encourage you to think about embracing the weather. Wind, snow, storm clouds, and light rain can create a beautiful ambiance and incredibly moody photos. If, however, the well-being of my gear is at stake, lets talk about our options. I typically have indoor backup plans, or will work with you to find a more suitable day.

Okay, that all sounds great...But what do we wear?!?

First and foremost, I encourage you to think about what you will be comfortable in. I will most likely be asking you to run, jump, play, and roll around, so keep that in mind. Flowy dresses are always a great option for at least one outfit (hello, wind!), but wear something that feels like “you”. For that reason, I don’t have a ready made what-to-wear guide, as I prefer to get to know you and your own personal style. I do, however, have a “what to wear” guide to help steer you in the right direction, which can be found here.
