I’m a little loud, a lot awkward, and forever searching for the next road trip destination.

I’ve always been a little awkward around people, and small talk makes my skin crawl. But I’ve also always loved heart to hearts that go into the early morning, so maybe I just enjoy getting a little deeper into what makes people tick. Photography has always been my way of bridging the gap. It’s been a way of opening my eyes to the little details that others miss; details like the way the window light falls across the table with your vows on it. This. is. my. shit.

And this is where I’m supposed to tell you random facts about myself so you can get to know me. Things like how much I love grilled cheese sandwiches, or how my favorite place I’ve ever been is Pompeii, or that I’m a recovering emo kid. Or how I swear too much (sorry, mom). This is where I tell you about my love for hiking, snowboarding, skimboarding, and arts and crafts. But none of those things tell you what I’m about, or what makes me connect with people on a deeper level.

So, here’s to being a little more open, and a lot more vulnerable. Here’s where I tell you that I’ve always looked for the magic in the everyday (which is probably why I’m so obsessed with Harry Potter…sup, my fellow Ravenclaws?). I lose my mind over golden light and moody skies. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, so the smell of rain on the earth, campfires, and cedar make my heart feel full, and the tide smells like home. I believe that whiskey is amber-tinted love in a glass. I believe in treating people with respect, being polite, communicating, and always tipping well. And I believe that getting to know each other is the first step towards creating photographs that let your personalities shine through.

So, if you love a little wind, rain, and messy hair, let’s make some magic while we wait for our Hogwarts letters.

Oh, and one last thing before you go. I grew up camping, taking road trips, and spending the weekend at the beach with my dad. But I also grew up with a camera in my hand, and you bet your ass I documented every moment of those days. Those photographs are some of my most cherished possessions, and I hope to create the same for you.
